I have read all the other threads on this and have tried everything, with no luck. I am only posting this because I ran into a unique situation that I had not seen from any other posts.
First, my issue is obviously, I have internet connection, can ping websites, but simply, I can not connect my browser to any websites. And yes, aside from reinstalling Windows, I have tried all the other solutions on this topic. When I load Chrome, for example, I get:
dns_probe_finished_bad_config
or
dns_probe_finished_nxdomain
Now the unique situation I found on accident, I clicked a button on my antivirus for details and it launched my browser to the website and it loaded perfect. From there I can browse perfectly to any website and add tabs, etc. I can not load a new window however. The new window tells me Chrome is unresponsive and crashes that new window. If I close out and try to load Chrome from the browser again, I receive the error.
I have several programs that I know will launch to a browser and any time I go through a program it lets me browse perfectly, but I am fixing this computer for a coworker so I need to solve the root issue.
Any help on this would be appreciated. I hope the new information might be able to narrow down a solution to fix this.
