This is my currrent build

So i asked before the holidays about what to upgrade for the most performance in 1 part from my previous build, so after some help from the forums i chose that graphics card, im still not seeing much performance increase in games, i font know if just Geforce experience doesn't actually know the best settings or it could be something else? like obviously next suspect is CPU or could there be anything else? (went from a XFX 260x to the 960)

You should see a performance increase going from a 260x to a 960, and I´m sure there´s not a bottleneck, because the 8320 is enough for that GPU. How many FPS are you getting in some games?

so with Counter strike GO running on these settings https://gyazo.com/0ee3466055d3e14c621ed47ec0bb04bb i saw dips to 40 fps, this is what i pretty much ran it on previously, just cause 3 is still struggling on everything on minimum (didnt check fps exactly) even league of legends is struggling to stay at above 60 on medium to high

So i couldnt remember how to setup rivatuner with all the different settings again, but i took a few screenshots that show the fps cpu core usage and memory usage, http://imgur.com/a/8XfHr (the few screenshots are of a warming up server ran on my local machine, with quite a few bots, the main menu and also in a dm server that had around 20 people in it) i couldnt work out how to put the gpu on there anymore so i just took a screenshot of the gpu usage and power in msi if thats alright.

Ok, the GPU usage should be a lot higher, so there is the problem, try disabling the VSync, check your PCIe power settings in windows and go to the bios and disable the integrated GPU manually. Also check you have the latest nvidia drivers and uninstall ALL AMD drivers.

so after trying all the things you said, (wasnt so sure on the bios but pretty sure i got it) looking for all AMD drivers plus installing new ones since i updated to windows 10 from 8.1, i didnt notice an increase but then i put vsync on and it stayed at a solid sixty? http://imgur.com/a/kUWGy (the last of the 3 was the vsync one) i even turned up the settings to what the game recommends and it dropped to 30-40 sometimes, it seems like the first core on my cpu is taking all of the brunt though, should that be happening?

The GPU usage is still not right, and yes, some bad optimized games only use one core while the others are doing nothing... Try more demanding games, like BF4, Far cry or Just cause to see if the GPU is working good. (By the way, the first screenshot shows 170 FPS, so it´s better now I think, but the second and third are like 55 FPS, but why?)

the imgur shows what settings im using just to test, vsync is on aswell, seem random drops but can hold around 55-60 http://imgur.com/a/5THBm and yeah definitely a difference in cpu usage, if you want me to try another game just gimme an ideas

all seems perfect in the first picture, all the cpu cores working and better gpu usage and framerate, but what´s wrong with the second picture(2FPS)? and in the same game with all settings in high, how is the framerate?

http://imgur.com/a/uqIcg heres another album on high, i get massive hitches even just flying around where it drops to less then 20 fps sometimes. and during those stops my gpu is around 50-70% usage i did hear about just cause being badly optimised itself
