Memory Compatibility Question

Hi, I'm fairly new to Tom's Hardware and computer building.

Recently, I built my second desktop using components I ordered from Newegg. After assembly, I turned the computer on, and the fans spun, LEDs turned on etc., but the USBs on the motherboard and the HDMI/VGA did not work--so I didn't get a signal.

I have an AMD motherboard and CPU, but Intel-based memory. I have seen people say that Intel memory will work on AMD motherboards, but not vice versa, and some say that it won't work period. Mixed messages aside, will non-compatible memory cause a motherboard to fail to function? Otherwise, I don't know what the problem is and am afraid to have to return things.

Thanks!

Motherboard: MB ASROCK | FM2A88X EXTREME 6+ A88X R

CPU: AMD A10-7700K Kaveri Quad-Core 3.4 GHz Socket FM2+ 95W AMD Radeon R7

Memory: COSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3

Video Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 960 STRIX

Not sure how to find part number of the motherboard, sorry.

In addition, I have a COSAIR CX series CX430M 430 W power supply--I hope that's enough for the entire thing to run, this is a pretty beefy build (I have tried booting without video card, still no signal / USB).

use the mobo video, go into BIOS and set Primary video to PEG/PCI'E, shutdown and change the video back to the graphics card. Also the CX 430 should just be barely enough - advertised as 430 but only has 384 on the 12 volt rail, plus not a very good one - they use cheap caps in the CX series of PSUs, so wouldn't do any OCing with it (actually would replace it)

I can't get into BIOS, I don't get an HDMI or VGA signal. Even if I did, I don't have USB, so I couldn't use the keyboard.
