How to transfer my windows 10 OS from my current Main HDD to a OCZ Agility3 SSD

So while going through box of deceased computers (because who knows when your old parts will live to serve a new), I came across a OCZ Agility3 2.5" SSD in surprisingly almost-new condition. I have always wanted an SSD for my build to store my OS on so I can load it up faster (and dedicate more space to my main HDD). I am looking for help on doing the task of getting the OS on the SSD. I am currently running Windows 10.
I haven't much knowledge on the task and was wondering if it'd be as simple as creating a backup on the SSD and then going into the BIOS and changing the boot drive to the SSD?
Any and all advice is appreciated :)

Here's some free clone apps:

I use a paid for Acronis True Image program. A backup will not work. You need to make a clone.

Thank you for the swift reply, I am now downloading ShadowCopy hopefully all goes well. So how exactly does this work, is there a way I can tell it to specifically clone my windows 10? Or do I need to clone my entire drive and just cut away at the excess stuff?

You will need to clone the entire drive, get an exact duplicate of what you have already. After cloning, install the SSD into the original sata port that the HDD was in and you should be good. Check it out first then install the HDD. I don't have any experience with Shadow Copy but if it says it can clone drives, it should work.

EDIT:
Boot files are in a small partition, so you need an exact clone of the drive.

I seem to have reached some sort of an error with cloning (tried full drive, system and small partition cloning. Full and partition wont let me clone to the SSD because the SSD is smaller than the HDD, system clone simply refuses to display the SSD as an output).

Is there more data (used space) on the HDD that the SSD's size? Most cloning apps will clone using only the data on the drive. Older cloning apps would only clone the same size drive or to a bigger drive. My Acronis on the auto setting will clone a large drive to a smaller one providing that all the data will fit on the smaller drive.

Do you know any other free (or even free trial) cloning software that allow this? I downloaded the free trial on Acronis but lone behold that feature is "Unavailable in trial mode" :/

There's 2 here that should work. I looked at the web site of the first one and think it will work for you.

Plus these:

EDIT:
Looking on the OCZ web site, there is not a cloning app for your SSD. Other models come with a cloning app, though. There is an update for the firmware that you might be interested in. Download the OCZ toolbox.
