Cooler too heavy for vertical motherboard?

Hi, I'm on my first build with a Corsair 500r case and a Gigabyte GA-z97x-ud3h mobo. Then without much thought bought a Zolman copper cooler model #cnps9900aled, it is almost 800 grams!
Is this inviting damage with a vertical mount, maybe the Corsair case allows two possible orientations? If it allowed a horizontal position the weight shouldn't matter as much, but I'm leery of hanging it off a vertical board.....
Thanks for any advice.

Like SR-71 Blackbird said, should be fine. My current cooler is around 1200g mounted on a vertical motherboard. Once the cooler and the supportive backplate are mounted correctly and the motherboard is attached to the mounting tray inside the case everything will be snug.

Just be careful moving the case around, ie don't roughly set/drop it on the desk with a 'bang'. Bouncing heavier coolers around isn't a good idea but honestly you don't have to be a whole lot more careful with the tower than you should be to begin with. Rough handling isn't great for many of the internal components. It's not an issue where you have to lay the case over to keep the motherboard flat or anything.
