okay, so i just recently built a PC (my first one) and when i plug my headphones into the front panel 3.5mm jack all that comes up is the headphones, there is another port which is specifically for the mic, but i didnt get a splitter with the headset, i think the reason that i didnt get a splitter is because it is mainly used for the xbox one, which is why i got the headset because i was more into console gaming back then. am i just being stupid here or do i need to update/install drivers, the headset im using is the first version of the XO4, should i just get a new PC headset all together??
Help me please

My PC build is:
MSI H97 Gaming 3
Intel i7 4790k
Nvidia GTX 970
8GB of ram

If you have three bands on your 3.5mm jack then you'll be best served by going for a splitter like this

If you're looking for a new headset might as well look into the Kingston HyperX Cloud(I) headset or Munitio's. On a final note, are you running off Windows 10?
