Hdd drives wont show in the bios

I connected the sata connectors to the hdd and it seems in order but when i check the bios it wont show this is the first pc i have made so i cant install windows without it any ideas?

If it doesn't show in BIOS, there is a solid hardware failure, there is no sense to go further without having this sorted out.

If you are sure the 2 cables are connected correctly, then is either the HD or the Motherboard. Do you have a spare HD you can test? Spare cables? Move to another SATA port?

Try reset Motherboard's CMOS to factory.
