Hey there!
I am currently running a legitimate copy of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials for my NAS. My NAS is currently an Lenovo M58p. I have a gigabit D-Link DGS-1005A switch to link both my computers. I have been finding my write speeds suddenly drop after roughly 15 seconds. I will have the perfect writes of about 110Mbs, but then it suddenly drops to between 15Mbs to 5Mbs. I have tried disabling SMB but with no luck.

Any help is much appreciated!

I don't think so I have tried multiple different files and they all do the same thing. I regularly defrag my SSHD too

Hopefully this will be able to help

It would have been nice to see the disk utilization graph, but what is drive G:? A fast eSATA or USB 3.0 drive? What hard disk is installed in your server? I use WD Black drives in my servers and I never witnessed issues like that (local or LAN). Why are there 2 drive letters assigned to the same physical disk?

I have one SATA WD Green 1tb drive (I'm quite new to all this NAS stuff). I have partitioned while I test. One partition for boot and the other for storage. It is a LAN NAS and is connectied to my PC using a gigabit switch.

Could you provide the disk utilization graph? I checked reviews and the Green isn't the fastest, but its performance while writing very large files shouldn't drop like that. What are you copying? A few very large files or thousands of small files and folders? Did you check how many folders and files are on the source? What processor and how much memory in your server? Is write caching enabled?
