For the past couple weeks my desktop has been either shutting down on itself or restarting on its own. For some reason it mostly happens during the night when I leave it alone. And as of today a System tab is now on Task Manager which shows it using around 500MB of memory.

I had bought this desktop a month ago and ever since it has been giving me these problems.

From the Desktop, right-click on My Computer.
Click the Properties option.
In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab or the Advanced system settings link.
In Advanced, click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.
In the Startup and Recovery window, uncheck the Automatically restart check box.
Click OK.

Try this otherwise.

I doubt its the temperature. Everything is around 30 degrees celsius. The thing is though whenever it shuts down I have to unplug the cord from the desktop and re-plug it in order for me to turn it back on. For when I press the power button otherwise it does nothing.
