What are some replacement PSU's for a Dell Studio XPS 9100?

I've owned a Dell Studio XPS 9100 since it was purchased new in late 2010. My power supply is starting to go bad (loud, rattling noise) and I've removed the PSU to confirm that. I'm looking for a replacement, other than the OEM one. From reading through past posts on this very topic here, there are some recommendations for ones that places like Newegg sell. However, in looking at them, I'm not 100% sure of the fit, as well as if the area of the fan would be located towards the inside of the cpu case, as it should. I'd appreciate hearing from others who can make a recommendation for a replacement PSU. Thanks.

Even in Dell's own forum you'll see threads where users have replaced the OEM PSU with an of the shelf PSU with no problem. This thread is about one user putting a Corsair AX850 into their Dell Studio XPS9100.

The OEM PSU is taller than the standard off the shelf ATX form factor PSU but the mounting screw holes line up properly. Some have said that there is a gap below the PSU when looking at the computer case from the back because of the PSU height difference between the OEM model and the standard ATX form factor model.

Actually I ended up ordering the wrong part. I put in the Corsair AX850 and what I mistakenly ordered on Newegg was a box of individually sleeved modular cables. The ad on Newegg was very misleading, because what you see is the power supply in the picture. So now I have to obtain an RMA from Newegg (pending), and then find the correct power supply for my Dell Studio XPS 9100. Back to the drawing board!

Thanks for the help. I've ordered the Corsair AX850 from NewEgg!
