Hey guys,

So I havn't build a computer in about 6 years and decided it time for a whole new system. Looking to order everything this week. I primarily do a lot of gaming on my computer and need help picking out parts.

I don't have much of a budget, all I know is I'm going to grab a HAF X case by coolermaster and start off with one 980TI and going to upgrade to 2 of them within the next month or 2. I'm looking to build a absolute beast, so money is kind of not a object here. Can anyone give me a hand? Looking for a absolute minimum of 16gb of ram, just need help deciding, CPU, Ram, Fast SSD with normal hard drive and motherboard. I seen expensive mother boards on newegg.ca but don't really understand the difference between a 800 mobo and a 300 mobo. Never overclocked before so I don't really care for all of the OC options.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Arguably the best gaming cpu out there without overclocking would be the i7-4790K or the newer skylake i7-6700K
Because of demand, the i7-6700K his currently a bit inflated in price at $400, but if budget for a beast is not a big issue, that is the best you can do today.

A Z170 motherboard capable of sli will cost more.
So will one capable of competitive overclocking.
Premium sound adds too.

I might suggest the upscale Asus maximus VIII ranger. about $200.

It has superior sound, sli capability, and a M.2 x4 capable slot.

I see no reason for a gamer to ever need more than 16gb.
Buy a 2 x 8gb kit of 1.2v low profile DDR4 ram. 2400 speed is fine, skylake does not depend...

If you really want 32gb, then it is best to buy it all up front in one kit.
Disparate ram kits are not supported by any ram vendor. You take your chances if you upgrade in the future via adding more ram.

The best and fastest ssd will be a Samsung 950 pro m.2 device which fits the m.2 slot on the motherboard.
It comes in 240 and 500gb sizes. It does sequential 4x better than a normal ssd. 500gb is $330.

A GTX980ti will need only a 600w psu. sli will need 850w. It is not wrong to go 950w or so, you will only use the wattage demanded.
XFX, Seasonic and Antec are the good brands.
