Can you recommend a new motherboard to replace my P6X58D-E?

I've had this P6X58D-E, and it's done me well for a while, but it's time to upgrade, I think. Maybe a little long overdue, actually. Can someone recommend for me, please, a motherboard compatible with what I'm running?

I'm showing what's in my dxdiag, at least what I believe is the most pertinent information. As for the case, it's a Corsair Obsidian 750D (http://www.legitreviews.com/corsair-obsidian-750d-full-tower-case-review_126122).

Any recommendations are helpful. Would also like, if possible, for motherboard to be compatible with at least the i5-6400. The reason I'm asking about these upgrades is because I want to be able to hook up the Oculus Rift for a very good experience. Not looking to spend thousands and thousands of dollars, but I'm open to all suggestions, to include other potential upgrades, though I don't think I particularly *need* to do anything with video card, and upgrading RAM is easy if ever needed. Thank you all for your help, and please let me know if you need more info.

You'd have to upgrade motherboard, CPU, and memory, if going for DDR4.
If the system does work, I'd say to keep it. It's still viable and the gain in performance (for regular use) is not worth the money, in my opinion. At least not at this moment.
Is there a game that you're not able to play, or application not able to run? I doubt it.

Yes, there is an application, or hardware, rather, that won't work with my current computer: The Oculus Rift.

This doesn't fix my need for an upgraded processor (which is the only thing that is failing the min specs for the Rift, right now), but it is something I'm gonna place in my cart. Thank you! Still gotta upgrade at LEAST the Processor, but I figured why not upgrade the motherboard at the same time, which is the reason for this whole thing. So while my motherboard may still be adequate, the processor is not, and maybe there's a better motherboard out there for me since this one's going on 5 years old now, anyway. Just trying to future proof (as much as one can future proof their computer) for the Rift's specs (and maybe ultimately the Rift 2, if I wanna think long-term).

I was hoping to spend a little more on the motherboard than I had in recent past, maybe $300-400, max, and another $600 max on the processor. Obviously, if I can come in cheaper than that, I'd prefer that endgame.
