At last i found my 8 year old intel core 2 Duo E8400 lacking in everything and therefore i decided to upgrade my build and with my new build i expect it to last the same as my previous build which is about 8 years and so here are the specs .

I have listed out both haswell and skylake build with their prices and of course the build costs for skylake was almost 30% higher than the haswell since the right RAM and motherboard combo was hard to find with skylake than the haswell.

Haswell Build:

Intel core i5 4460
motherboard Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H(i need USB type c ports and USB 3.1 but i dont know how much of importance is USB type c is )
corsair value select ddr3 1x8GB 1600 MHZ (CL 11 timing)
GPU:Gigabyte gtx 960 2 GB
CASE:A generic case named Umax which supports two front USB 3.0 ports

The total costs for the above build = 40,200 (INR) =600 US $

Skylake Build :

Intel core i5 6500
motherboard:Asus B150M-PLUS-D3
corsair value select ddr3 1x8GB 1600 MHZ (CL 11 timing)-i really fear that whether the DDR3 will destroy my processor since there is a report of intel saying ddr3 will destroy the processor lifespan since it's running on higher voltages so guys pls calify me with that issue.
GPU: Gigabyte gtx 960 2 GB
CASE:A generic case named Umax which supports two front USB 3.0 ports

The total costs for the skylake build is 650$ .

Therefore is the 50 $ extra worth the money? and will the ddr3 destroy the lifespan of the skylake processor ,Also clear me whether the use of DDR3 will destroy my processor's or motherboards's like span?

When Skylake prices were competitive with Haswell prices, the answer was usually yes, it's worth it. Now the question is, do you mind being on what are essentially the last set of processors for the 1150 socket, or do you want the potential chance of being able to replace your processor in a year or two when Kaby Lake and Cannonlake come around? That's all the extra $50 will get you, though I'd also recommend going with a DDR4 motherboard if you do Skylake as well.

Both DDR4 RAM and the compatible motherboard is about 70$ costlier than the DDR3 based motherboard ,then why the heck these motherboard manufacturers are supporting ddr3 motherboards ? i really don't know .

it took me an extra 100$ for jumping to DDR4 RAM and a good motherboard (Asus H170 pro gaming) hope this will serve me as like my previous machine
