How do I use my xbox one on an HP 2311x monitor

I have my xbox one connected to my monitor via hdmi, but when i switch the monitor over to hdmi, it says to change the settings to 1920 by 1080 and 60hz. I went into my settings on my computer and they are already 1920 by 1080 and 60hz. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Changing settings on a pc does not change settings on your xbox one. Not all xbox one games are 1080p. There is nothing you can do about it and everything is working as they should.
