Was going to get this memory

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233849&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

but I've heard that 2400 is more stable and obviously cheaper. Can anyone give me some good alternatives that I can look into, preferably on Amazon.

It's for this build:

Fair one :)

The H100i itself is very quiet.. however, the fans it comes with are VERY loud. Not to mention the fact they will spin up to 100% for 2 seconds every time you boot your system. It literally sounds like your tower is going to start hovering!

My advice is to pick up dual-pack of Corsair SP120 Quiet edition fans. They are virtually silent and perform extremely well (the SP stands for Static Pressure, so they're designed purely for use on radiators like the H100i). They come with 3 coloured bands that you can swap out, including White, so theyll look great in your case: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-SP120-Quiet-Twin-CO-9050006-WW/dp/B007RESFR2/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1452424811&sr=1-1&keywords=SP120

As for M.2/PCI SSDs...

Just so you know, RAM speeds have been proven to have a negligible impact on most applications, and therefore the Dominator series from Corsair is simply overpriced for people who just want to throw money at specs pages (or love the way they look, like I do!).

If you want to get sensible, solid RAM from Corsair, go for the Vengeance LPXs. Its half the price, for the same real-world performance, but a sleek no frills aesthetic.

Just wondering, why is a GPU not listed in your build?

EDIT: Just realised the amount of money youre spending here, and with a 1000w PSU and full tower case, Im expecting to see some sort of mutli-GPU set up. With that in mind, I can assume that price doesn't really matter to you. In which case, the Dominator series is still very good but honestly, the difference in real world performance between 2133-3000 is negligible.

I already have a gtx 980 which is more than enough for now. I will go sli later though.

Hey btw, how is your h100 cooler? Is it quiet?
What do you think of the 950 pro in my build? It's a gaming rig so I'm not sure if I should get that or a standard 2.5" ssd or the 850 evo m.2. Not to mention the m.2 slots on this motherboard put the ssd right under my gpus, hopefully it doesn't get too hot.

As for M.2/PCI SSDs, real performance right now is not great. Despite having huge transfer speeds, the affect this has on System boot times and Load times in games and applications is neglible. In fact, with a lot of games, a standard SATA SSD is faster.

Also, M.2/PCI drives still have a problem with thermal throttling that needs ironing out - it is common for even a drive with excellent air flow (i.e. not near GPUs) to overheat and half its speed to cool down.

If youre not planning on moving huge amounts of data around, then Id suggest sticking with a large (500gb-1TB) SATA SSD for now while the problems with temps and efficiency of PCI/M.2 drives are being worked out - you can always upgrade later down the line when theyre worth it.

Ok I got those fans for cooling, thanks.

For the RAM I'm either going to stick with one of these

Honestly whichever of those performs better I will go with, that's all that matters.
