Hey,

So I'm finally going to purchase my new PC in a few days, and I am still not convinced about most of the components. I'm actually planning to overclock the CPU and potentially the GPU also, so good cooling solutions are preferred.

I want to have as much expension potential in the future, so I was thinking about going with X99 build, including the fact that i7 6700K is actually 50$ more expensive than 5820K in my country. I'm not locked on watercooling for the CPU, so if anyone can suggest a better solution using air It's welcome, also different processor/mobo combos/GPUs are welcome.

I am mainly gaming and editing video, other than that just regular uses.

This is what I have now:

CPU: i7 5820K
CPU cooling: Corsair Hydro H110i GTX
Mobo: Asus X99-A
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 2400Mhz
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 380X 4GB G1
PSU: SeaSonic 750W 80+ Gold
Case: Antec P100 Mid Tower

The build costs 1725$ locally, the budget is around that amount.

Please tell me your thoughts about this build. I am willing to hear any suggestions guys!

Thanks in advance.

Solution
All four of those are good choices. The 'fine structure' is beyond my experience. If I were planning to buy one, I would read all the reviews and decide based on that and what sensible user feed-back I could get.

Geez, what country are you in where a 5820K costs LESS than a 6700K!?

The build looks solid, except that GPU. A 380X at that price is a complete waste. Just wait and get an R9 390 or 390X. The 380X can just handle 1080p on max settings.

For the best cooler, get a Noctua NHD15. Best cooler on the market. If you don't like the brown fans, buy some Noctua Industrial Fans (Black with brown accents) to put in there instead.

Should do fine for what you want. You may need an other case fan or two, to keep things cool because for the best cooling of your CPU, I'd want the radiator as an intake.

You have a good CPU, all X99 motherboards are at least decent, you do need stout cooling and you have it (I don't know what options are available), you have an excellent PSU.

My concern is the case. That is a quiet, but 'hot', case, especially when you combine a power-hungry GPU and that CPU. Running it cool will be a challenge unless you pull out much of the sound absorbing material, and then why use the case?

What other choices do you have?

I'd want a better GPU, but I don't know what your prices look like. Getting a GTX 970 would improve performance and reduce the heat.

I live in Israel :p Okay, so why should I buy? that Noctua cooler or the H110i? the noctua should be a lot more loud right?

and about the GPU, 390 or GTX 970?

And what about the case? the local stores have pretty much every case here.

I think a CRYORIG H7 is too 'light' for a 140W CPU. The OP will probably be overclocking it for render/edit performance improvement so then it can approach 200W. That is not H7 territory.

Alrighty. so the noctua it is. the NHD15 is the best air cooler I can buy? and how good it will be for OC on the 5820k?

I'll get a AMD R9 390, which is the best brand for this card?
This spesific case is not avaliable in here, they do have Antec, Corsair, and CoolerMaster cases avaliable, can you recommend any case from those companies?

Thanks for helping.

Here's a review of the cooler, including cooling at 200W LGA2011 dissipation, which is what your CPU might reach. http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2766

Best has many meanings. Fastest, most reliable, coolest, quietest, most overclocking headroom, price/performance. No card is 'best' at all of those. What is important to you?

Read this case review. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2013/10/14/corsair-graphite-230t-review/4 It also mentions other similar cool cases which would work for you.

Well I think I would prefer the most overclocking headroom, it could be a 390X aswell, as the difference isn't really a problem. and okay I will read the review.

Also, do you think that I should add anything else? more fans maybe? how is the PSU?

Thanks a lot man.

Okay sounds good, I have found the Sapphire TRI-X model, the MSI you sent, Asus DirectCU model, and a gigabyte gaming G1, the best one of them is the MSI?

Sorry for the huge load of questions dude, I'm just trying to make the right choices

Okay I will make some homework and find out which one is the most successful.

Thanks a lot man.
