How much of a improvement be from a gtx 960 2gb to gtx 970 4gb

Title basically says it all, I have a msi geforce gtx 960 2gb and am disappointed in the performance as it cant run some of my games at 144 fps to benefit from my 144 hz monitor. Would buying a gtx 970 4gb (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Quieter-Graphics-04G-P4-2974-KR/dp/B00NVODXR4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1452445641&sr=1-1&keywords=geforce+gtx+970) be a good investment? Will I see a difference? Thanks!

a 970 is good, but for 144hz monitor you need 980 ti or better


unless you are playing stuff like csgo, which you are most likely not as a 960 is more than capable of running those

I play CSGO and reach fps over 300, but games like COD run at 70 fps, and I have a i5 4960k. I would think I should be able to run these games better, but obviously im wrong.
