PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Hello, I am looking for a second opinion on my parts list. I would like to keep the build under 2000 Canadian dollars, but could go up to $2100.00 if need be. The computer will be in a small area, so I needed a good cooler.

I was wondering if the Define R5 Blackout would be better than the Phantom 530. Also, would it be worth upgrading to a 980 for 1080p 60fps gaming?

Supernova NEX are poorer quality power supplies, especially when compared to their much-better same-priced or lower EVGA G2 and B2 power supplies. If your primary purpose is gaming, I would get an I5-6600K, air cooling, and upgrade the GPU to a GTX 980. I think by now it's wise to go Skylake, especially with a $2000 CAD build. You should be going with the latest CPU and RAM tech, not two generations old.
