Today at 1am I was playing Civ 5 with some friends then the computer turned off without warning. I leaned over to the computer and I think I smelled the smell of burning plastic/rubber although it was very very faint so it could have been the smell of my uncleaned for 2 and a half years metal computer case.

My specs:
Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V LX2 Motherboard: no burn/melt marks or specs
GPU - Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX650Ti: no marks etc.
CPU - Intel I5-3470 Processor: fans were a bit dusty but there were no burn/melt marks and thermal compound was still adequate
RAM - Crucial BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU (2x4 sticks): They both seem new like the day they arrived.
PSU - CiT 700ub (700 W): It doesn't look damaged from the outside but i cannot see the inside very clearly, doesn't looked damaged.
HHD - unknown 1TB, SSD- 64GB Sandisk: Both look fine

I checked it after 10 hours (I slept thinking it was the PSU which was loose because it looked loose) and it would not turn on fully, what happened it this: The LED light on my 'Asus P8Z77-V LX2 Motherboard' turned on when the power on the mains is on, when i click the power on button, a case fan spins, the 'Intel I5-3470 Processor' fan spins and the 'Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX650Ti' spins, all of them spins for about half a second before stopping and when I press the power on button again they do not spin again but the motherboards LED is still on. If I disconnect the electricity from the computer, the LED light stays on for a few seconds and turns off, I can repeat this process if i resupply electricity.

I've had all this hardware for about two and a half years apart from my PSU and HHD, the PSU is within half a year more of use of the other components and have had no problems with any of the components. There are no loose wires.
I want to find out specifically which hardware are broken before buying a replacement or visiting a computer specialist if I do not need to.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Cits power supplies are garbage. Probably dead if you are lucky it didnt fry anything else. Unplug the psu from all the other components and try the paperclip test on the PSU
