Hello, I've been noticing that when I boot up my pc after it being off for a while (overnight), it is slower than it usually Is. Like lower frame rates and just slower in general. I actually ran a benchmark of all the components (cpu, gpu, hard drive, ssd, and ram) on userBenchmark.com, and they all got lower framed than they did when it was running normally. This can only be fixed by a reboot. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks.

I have to agree.

I remember reading a few years back that no matter how careful you are with Windows... You should ALWAYS perform a clean re-install every six months to keep it running smoothly. That's what i do.

The obviously things to do for maintenance is to install a 3rd Party Startup Manager to see which programs are starting up on boot so you can uncheck them. The next thing would be to scan for Tracking Cookies. I use SuperAntiSpyware for that.

Not really sure what you mean by it "being off for long periods of time"... Overnight is not a long period of time.. If we're talking days or weeks or months with it being turned off... then that would explain it... background jobs and updates and server check-ins... all have to be updated.

I probably shouldn't have said long periods of time. What I meant was that it happens when it's off for any period of time longer than overnight. But I do sometimes have it off for a week or more and the same thing happens.
