So recently my computer has been acting up and at randomly times will freeze. If there is any sound playing, it will loop for a couple seconds then stop completely. There's no blue screen, the computer just freezes.
Computer specs:
GIGABYTE 970A-D3 (BIOS version is 3.1.0.0)
AMD FX 6100 6 core
2x4GB DDR3
GeForce GTX 660 Ti
250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
2TB WD Green HDD
700W XTREME GEAR PSU
Cooling is the stock fans as well as an Asetek AIO cooling

The build is 4 years old now I think, with the most recent addition being the new SSD. I also cleaned it out with some air in a can roughly a week ago. I've ran a memtest on it and it came out with 0 errors. The freezing started Friday and it wasn't frequent at first, but now I can't have the system on for longer than 5 minutes without it freezing. Is this a hardware issue or is it a software issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Check to make sure your CPU is not overclocked. Then check temperatures.

Test your GPU using FurMark. I think your GPU might be the weak link.

I'm quite certain this is a hardware issue. You can also try a Linux live-CD to see if your system is stable that way.
