I am looking for a new laptop, and could not decide between the Macbook Air and the HP Spectre x360. I have always been a huge fan of apple, and would prefer the Air; however, is the resolution difference really that important for eye strain and clarity?

I have both a 1080p and 900p 17" laptop. To my eyes, the 900p is the better resolution for such a small screen. Not too big, not too small. But if you enjoy more desktop/screen real estate at smaller font/icon settings, then the 1080p is worth the increase in cost. I notice no difference in Blu-Ray movie quality between the two (using an external USB 3.0 Blu-Ray drive).
