For the last few months ive been plagued with the issue of my internet being on and off. I had my PC sent home from uni and im assuming while being delivered it must have damaged somehow a specific part of the motherboard because now every time i turn on my PC my local area connection (Ethernet cable) says its unplugged but it clearly is. After like 15-30 mins eventually it wouldnt connect fine but it would only stay like this for an hour or even less, then go off and stay for half hour then turn back on and so forth. Could it have actually been damaged during delivery or it is something else? Ive tried multiple cables and they all work fine as well.

I dont think 3 different cables to go from brand new to bad within 6 months. Plus what is the probability of humidity or heat affect the cable? Nowadays these cables im sure can withstand that. I know in my case its not the cable.
