Hello,
Since yesterday I am having problems with my internet on my PC.
I can't connect to the internet but sometimes it starts, and I am able to open a few pages and it goes off again.
I have no ping and cant access my router.
The intresting thing is that the wi-fi is working fine and I am currently using my laptop on the network to ask for help.
Also when I connect my laptop with a lan cable to the router, the internet is working fine so I guess the problem is with the PC

A help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
did you check for a driver update from the MoBo maker? transfer it on USB drive. Otherwise try this from a cmd prompt w/ admin rights and restart:

Start > All Programs > Accessories and right click on "Command Prompt", select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt. In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands, each followed by the Enter key:

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
Reboot the machine.

Also, try disabling the IPv6 protocol unless you know for sure it is routed correctly in the Router/Modem

Updating the drivers seems to have fixed the problem, for now at least. Already an hour and I have working internet, we will see for how long.

Thank you! :)
