Hi guys!! I'm trying to build my new gaming PC after a long, long time, so I could reslly use your help. I am, of course, on a tight budget, but the tricky part is that in my country most components aren't available, due to imports restrictions. I have a build in mind, any change, suggestion or advice is most welcome.

Mobo:
Option A: MSI 970 Gaming U$S 200
Option B: MSI 990FXA Gaming U$S 293

CPU:
Option A: AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) 8 core U$S 265
Option B: AMD FX-6300 Visher 3.5 GHz (4.1 Turbo) 6 core U$S 158

Video: SAPPHIRE Nitro R7 360 OC 2 GB GDDR5 (UEFI) U$S 200

Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MGh CAS110 U$S 143

Power: EVGA 500W Single Rail 12V 40A

Some additional q's:
Is 16 GB too much? Should I go with only 8GB?
I reaaaaally want those 8 cores, but not sure if the 970 can handle them...
Should I consider extra coolers?

Edit: my main goals (in life) are to play Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. Also Fallout 4, but I definitely don't do BF nor Crysis.
Thnx so much!!!

Anyways, OP the MSI 970 gaming is a pretty good MB for the price, should handle the 8350 without much problem since the thermals are quite good.

You can also probably save by getting an 8320e and overclocking it with a 212 EVO (Or cryorig H7 if that's available).

And 16GB is overkill for this generation, If you can use 8GB instead and use the money towards a better GPU (The R7 370 or GTX 950, I'd recommend the 950)

I can't recommend a motherboard however, from what I understand MSI motherboards haven't got very good QC.
From someone with a FX-6300 i recommend that you get the FX-8350, it is one of AMDs best current CPUs.
8GB of ram should be enough, use the extra money to get a better gpu.

Thanks!!! Yes, I've been reading about MSI thermal problems. Would a Gygabite mobo be a better option? I'm trying to find something like that around here, but it's hard :/

Edit: found an Asus mobo, ASUS M5A97 R2.0, it also has a 970 chipset. Would this be any good with the FX-8350?

its a terrible moment to get an FX 8350 o 6300 (I personally own an FX 6300) They are reaching there end. With the cost of a good quality motherboard to handle an FX 8350 u can purchase an i5-6500 and a decent budget motherboard. This a better upgrade path for the future since it uses DDR4 Ram which has finally dropped in price. What is the price of a GTX 950 where ur from?

That's really helpful advice, thanks. Those are the kind of things I fail to take in consideration.

ASUS GeForce GTX 950 STRIX GAMING O.C. 2GB GDDR5 U$S 286

Which motherboard woul you recommend for the i5?? Currently trying to make a build in pcpartpicker based on that CPU, but I have a lot of reading to do regarding Intel

Get the motherboard u can afford. Intel doesnt have the issues that AMD has with overheating. Check max ram, how many usb ports, the size of the motherboard will fit ur case. Second pci express for future upgrade to SLI.

You should definitely consider getting the GTX 950 (Even more then the CPU). Especially for the games you want to play. In fact the R7 360 is pretty much not an option for you. You will kick and burn it.

Edit: You only need 8gb of ram for now. Use that money for the cpu, gpu or an ssd.
