I'm kind of new to this.
is there a way to simultaneously run Mac OS X El Capitan and Windows 10 Pro from the same workstation, but on different monitors? For example, having Mac on one monitor and Windows on the other running at the same time but coming from the same PC.

if it matters any my build is:
4790k
Msi z97s Sli Krait
16gb ddr3 1866mhz
GTX 970
512GB transcend SSD

if mac is your base OS you can boot camp Windows and then just drag it into your other monitor...but thats with Mac as your base OS. Basically youll be putting all the stress of running windows on top of mac and i think ull need a pretty powerful CPU for that.

also, i just read u can run windows on mac if youre using an intel based windows OS. (also prolly want a powerful cpu to do this) the program is called virtualbox instead of bootcamp.

i think your 4790k should be viable.

google this question :)
