I just bought a new 120GB SSD because I wanted to install my OS on it! I cloned my current drive with just the OS(Windows 8.1) to my new SSD. It worked but now I am stuck because when I restarted and made my SSD my main boot drive, it said there wasn't an OS present. I have no clue what to do right now because I want this SSD to be my main drive for my OS and booting, and my old HDD as my storage. This would be really awesome if I could get a response ASAP! I just want to load my OS from my new SSD.

I used this program EaseUS Todo Backup software to clone and yes the HDD was less then 120GB.

It is best to install the OS to the drive and copy your files over. Cloning tends to either not work, or Windows is unable to load the drivers it needs to configure itself for running on an SSD.

Isn't cloning the same thing as copying files from one drive to the other?

For a Windows C drive, no.

Cloning the system to a new hard drive isn't just about copying and pasting. Dunno whether you are using some tool or simply doing what I said... Maybe you can use some tool to get it done.
