So, I currently have an amd r9 270x, and a friend gave me his old zotac gtx 760. Is it necessary to remove amd drivers before adding the gtx 760? My motherboard has an amp chipset and i'm afraid of deleting it on accident. So if it's not necessary I don't really want to. You guys tell me. Is it really that important?

Solution
Your chipset drivers are not part of either the older GPU driver suite CCC (Catalyst Control Centre) or latest Crimson driver suite, so you do not have to worry about this. Remember that when your PC was first built only the default MS drivers were installed until such time as you (or the PC builder) installed the correct ones from the motherboard CD, and you can always download any drivers from your motherboard manufacturers website if you think they've been deleted by accident.

Depends on OS, are you using Windows Vista?
