Installing Ubuntu *_*

So I have an old system with
Pentium 4 3.06 GHz(Hyperthreading)
1GB DDR RAM
80GB HDD
I was planning to install ubuntu 15.10 on the above machine for just the sake of trying. So should i go on. And can i install ubuntu without internet because the lan port of the above machine doesnt work? I cnt buy a new lan card cause i dont wanna spend a single penny on the crappy system

You can install Ubuntu without internet but it will be hard to do much that is useful. I might recommend a different distro though, Ubuntu is in the heavier side of Linux. Also use the 32 bit version of the distro since the P4 doesn't have any 64 bit support.
