I own an Intel H55/H57 deries motherboard with an LGA 1556 socket and an American Megatrends BIOS. For some reason it only boots on my IGD, even if I reset my BIOS settings. It completely ignores the fact that I have specifically chosen PEG/PCI in the settings. I know there is nothing wrong with my Graphic Card as sometimes, my PC boots on it. But if I Restart it or if it Shuts down, the next boot is on IGD. The frequency of PCI boots has decreased significantly, and now it has been 3 weeks since that last happened. This problem started several months after I changed my motherboard. If there is any way I can fix this, I would like to know. Any addition information needed to fix this problem can be provided. Thank you.

Should have BIOS iinstructions in your mobo manual - if you don't have hard copy can normally download from the mobo site...and PSUs are something that work perfectly forever, especially lower quality , but all will weaken over time with varying results

What kind of video card and power supply do you have? It is possible that your graphics card is defective or the power supply not providing enough power to the video card (assuming that it needs external power.)

I know for sure there is nothing wrong with my Power supply either.

Do you have the latest BIOS, also latest mobo drivers and GPU drivers? Does the mobo and system maintain the correct time/date? i.e. turn off unplug and leave off for about 20 minutes, then check date and time (if way off may be CMOS battery). Also do you have another PSU you could try, this also sounds typical of a PSU problem, many if not most 400 Watt PSUs, seldom run run 400 continuous, check your 12 volt rail voltage.

The CMOS is fine, It stores the rest of the settings and Time/Date.
Even if you are right about the PSU, it doesn't explain why my GPU ran properly for more than a year and a half.
I have tried updating the bios to fix this, but I don't know how. If you can help, I'm sure the problem might be fixed.
