im gonna buy one of these cards but im struggling to decide, since i give weight to noise level and power consumption which one is the better or best. i know gtx 970 has better performance than gtx 960 4g but gtx 970 is not futureproof so i decided to buy a graphic card that will be my transtition card, in 2 or 3 years then i'll buy a better card than 900series. evga claims that there is no fan work in idle temp. at evga gtx970 sc so, i think there might be a slight chance power consumption of these cards are similar or evga has beaten gtx960. so there is the noise level problem. i read some comments about evga gtx 970 sc has some jet engine level noise problems in that forum. then i watched some videos about it and nobody was complained about it except its coil whine problem. is there a really jet engine noise level problem at evga's? try to consider there is no coil whine, will it be a annoying noise level differences between those cards. thanks in advance for your answers

The 970 is completely silent until it is being used at 60 celsius or higher . And even then it is very quiet.

If you want to buy a card in 2-3 years you should get the 970 as the 960 is already not up to scratch now, unless you're happy with lower settings.

No jet engines noise problems and not even a debate, if you can afford the 970, get that
