Hello everyone, I have a problem with my computer (Compaq Presario sg3540IL) that it automatically freezes most of the time and I have to turn off the power, and when I starts the cpu again, then 1 short beep and 1 long beep occurs. Also, sometimes the computer also displays BSOD's. The most common was UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP. Also KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED , and PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA occurred recently.
I have attached the minidump files.
And when my computer freezes, my monitor displays some random thin lines of black, grey, red colour. Sorry I didn't took an image but it looked sometime like this-

Is there any other symptom? The beep sequence is an error code, in which case you should contact compaq or read the manual (doubt that the codes would be in there).

Your system is quite old, have you ever changed/reapplied thermal paste to your cpu? Is the fan spinning 100%?

The beep code is mentioned as a Memory problem. No, I have never applied thermal paste to the cpu. This problem occured before about 2 months so I opened the case and cleaned all the dust. The problem disappeared then but now it has started again. When I restart the computer after it freezes the fans run at 100% and beeping continues. After trying several times, the computer starts then. Also, my CMOS battery is dead, as my system time is not saved. Can the CMOS battery make this problem?

No it is not the cmos battery. You need to apply thermal paste to your cpu or check if it is there at least. All you problems seem to be heat related. THe fact that after clearing the dust the issue subsided also points to heat related problems. If you don't know how to do it there are a lot of good tutorials on the subject. There is nothing to be scared of. It is an easy procedure.
