a better build. the 380 will max out fallout at 1920x1080, and the money saved gets you a better CPU (ready for BCLK overclock if you wish), and an SSD.
the Rosewill 850W PSU is overkill for this build, but its a great deal at this price.

I suggest you get the 4790k instead of the 4690k and get faster ram such as vengence pro 2133...
Then you should be able to max out the game @ 1080p however you still might get dips unless you lower some settings...

I disagree because like burgessanthony said there are parts in the game that will even bring my overclocked Titan x & 4790k slightly below 60 fps @ 1440p...

With the new Beta Patch, HABO & Nvidia weapon effects have been added which makes the game more demanding...

Yeah, 390 and 970 can't max at 1080 at 60fps on fallout 4. Just how it goes. They aren't overkill for 1080. They may give 70-90fps maxed in games but that is good headroom. At 1440p maxed they don't achieve 60fps in thibfs like blops, fallout, fc4, ac:unity.

For OP, grab a 970 or 390 as best bang for buck at what you are looking for.

This should run Fallout 4 just fine. As for the PSU, anything that fits in your case and has (at least) an 80+ bronze certification will do fine. And for the motherboard, the "MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard" is very good.

With Fallout4, run away from Radeon. Its more NVIDIA friendly then Radeon friendly. This is not a fanboy issue, its a game code issue.

Fallout4 has been benchmarked here for all the cards (that matter).
The fact that noone yet linked it for you is kind of tragic.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fallout-4-performance-benchmark,4370-2.html

This is what you should be looking at to see where the performance lies for FO4. Then fit in your budget. And turn off Godrays when you run it. There are also a world of updates that help. Read all the comments in that link.

^true, but a powerful R9 card will run Nvidia stuff OK. However, agreed that for GameWorks titles the NVidia settings have much less impact on Nvidia hardware.

I'd never build a PC for a certain game however. But if FO4 specific, then a 970 is a good 1080p card.

Basically if the OP buys the 6600k and the Gtx 970 as per his plan according to this thread he will have a good experience with Fallout 4 @ 1080p...

In my Opinion the 970 is the sweet spot for 1080p 60 hz gaming and entry level for 1440p 60hz gaming...

The above is for many but not all games.

Below are the recommended settings for fallout 4 from steam.

970 is in the same league as the GTX 780 & 290x... For 1080p I would prefer the 970 over the 780 and 290x...

OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Processor: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent
Storage: 30 GB available space

Hi I got bizzy for a while sorry for no reply's.
I was thinking about the 380 vs 970 but since it like 100euro difference Im not sure.
My preff is the 970 but I need to think things out.
Last thing really is the cpu taking a 6600k over a 6500?
Or get a i7?

for cost savings, I'd get a 6500 over the 6600K, both can overclock on a Z170 board - the 6600K might overclock higher due to unlocked multipliers and binning, but that's not hugely significant in gameplay. the 380 will run Fallout 4 at a min 40 FPS, average about 55, and save you 100 euros over the 970, which has a min 45 and a max around 75, but you're looking at a 60 hz screen asnyway

I suggest you get the i7 if it fits into your budget because more games are starting to utilize the extra resources...

Based on the testing done by Eurogamer the advantage of the I7 is very clear...

Below is a comparision done by eurogamer...
