CPU name ????

In live in Serbia and in every computer store or website theres a CPU called Athlon x4 840 but is it an Phenom II X4 840? Or its different?

I'd go with Phenom over Athlon any day, Athlon has no L3 cache although since there isn't any cache it means that the Athlon sucks a bit less power from your build.

**EDIT** There is some minor difference in performance that could possibly be noticeable, but you probably won't.

it is something different, also i would say that athlon is better than phenom

Athlon and Phenom are different. Phenom came after the Athlon, with Athlon being what really got AMD on the map in the first place. Phenom at first kind of a fail for AMD but, it was the first consumer available quad core CPU. Phenom is better in a couple of ways than the Athlon.
