CPU fan error - but fan is working fine

I just got rid of that filthy stock intel fan because it was going up to 70c under load. I installed a hyper 212 evo because it seemed to have a lot of good things said about it. Now my temps even under load haven't gone over 34c. I'm extremely happy with those results, most satisfying indeed.

The problem, seemingly benign for now, is that whenever I boot up the computer it posts a cpu fan error... The fans power connector is plugged into the same pins that the stock fan was plugged into and that one never gave such errors. It was a bit dusty in there and I cleaned it out with some compressed air in a can. I hope that wouldn't have effed anything up, would it?

I built the rig myself and was very happy with it. I want to take very good care of it and keep it maintained but I am just not well versed enough yet.

So would anyone know how to go about fixing this?

Solution
Just because of the low fan speed at startup, probably an option in the Bios to change the warning threshold. Basically your heatsink cools effectively enough to have a fan speed lower then the warning level at start up.
