Sticking with Win7 64-bit: Best options?

I've seen that M$ may not be supporting Win7 with DirectX 12, and because of other hardware driver issues (Raid card) I'm not going to be "upgrading" if I can help it.

I'm not a gamer, but I want to be able to play / upscale 4k content from Blu-ray, and I want uncompressed audio (HDMI or display port required)

Anything between $200 and $300 is fine by me. What are options I should be considering?

Currently running AMD Radeon HD 7900 with no issues.

Unfortunately I am having playback issues with the current card.

For a couple of years now I'd been getting uncompressed 7.1 sound by passing the HDMI cable thru my Sony headset. Then for no reason I could find, HDMI sound quit working. Optical out still was still working fine, but the sound isn't as good.

I swapped the cables but that didn't help. I'm going to try a display port cable to see if that makes any difference, but if it doesn't, then I guess I'll have try another card.
