Hello, thank you for reading. I built my new gaming pc today and i installed windows10 home 64.bit. Everything booted perfectly but when i try to connect to the internet it says that a network adapter cannot be found. Can anyone help me? I have a asus maximus viii hero motherboard. Thank you for reading.

Solution
Yes. The driver for the network adapter should be on the disk(along with other needed drivers). Once you get it connected to the internet, you should check the motherboard manufacturer's website for updated drivers.

Hello there! My first thought would be that the driver isn't installed. Is the adapter you have a separate PCI unit that you needed to install? Or does your motherboard have one built in? If it is built in, I would suggest looking up "asus maximus viii Network Adapter Driver" on another laptop/desktop and download the driver. Put the driver file onto a flash drive and put it in the new PC. Drag out the file and install it. Hopefully that will activate the adapter. If the adapter is an add on, I think you could look the driver up as well and transfer using a flash drive. Hope that helps!

If the CD isn't loading the correct driver you can use an android cell phone if you have one.
www.mobile-stream.com/easytether/android.html
You can then use your phone to download the windows drivers you need from ASUS.

Use your iPhone as a USB modem and directly download the drivers from ASUS.
I'd install the drivers with the phone still plugged in just in case the software needs to search for updates.
