What CPU Should I Get?

I'm trying to choose parts online and keep getting mixed up between an i5 and i7 for a custom build suited for gaming/streaming and capable of video/music editing. I originally had my mind set on i5 4690 but the i7 4790k keeps calling my name. I don't really plan on overclocking as I don't think it's necessary so should I just go i7 4790 and save $75? Or is the i5 4690 more than suffice for my needs? All I can see in difference is the i7 4790 has hyper threading and 2MB more L3 Cache. It's a $100 price difference which I would prefer to save. I mostly would play Arma 3.

Thanks

Since you are inbetween both an i7 and an i5 (since your workload is split between the two) I recommend a third choice.
Look at the Xeon 1231v3. It is a 4770 without an iGPU, but comes in at the price of a 4690k.

For all those applications you have listed an i7 would be the better choice. More cores means better performance in multitasking and in video editing. The i7 also performs better on ARMA 3. For gaming alone teh i5 would be more than enough (even an i5 4430), but with several applications running at the same time in i7 will be the better choice.
