Occasionally (About once or twice a day) my PC shuts off with no warning and no bluescreen. I've tried forcing a blue screen to occur, but that doesn't seem to work. However, I've noticed that EVERY TIME before the power loss occurs, windows error logs reads out a slew of AIChargerPlus warnings. I no longer have an ASUS board and my computer reports that I no longer have any ASUS programs/drivers installed...Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

it is a asus USB driver that overrides the max current settings on USB so you can charge apple devices on you PC at a faster rate. The older versions of the driver corrupts memory and causes problems for standard USB devices. I think it also puts in a file driver filter that you might have to remove manually if there is no uninstaller on your machine.

to remove it manually you have to start cmd.exe as an admin, then run
fltmc.exe to see the installed driver filters then find the one you want to remove and run
fltmc.exe unload ASUSFILTER (what ever the driver name is, maybe asusfilter.sys ??? I don't remember)

you can use the pnputil.exe to remove the driver package.
how to remove a driver from the driverstore:

you might also search for AiChargerPlus.sys on your hard drive and remove the driver.

fltmc.exe gave me this

pnputil.exe -e
Gave me a huge list, of which none were from ASUS

I've already manually deleted the .sys file

Any other ideas :(

I'll try this as a fallback, but I feel as though the AiCharger driver will still cause issues.

In Program Files (X86), look to see if there is a folder left for the AI Charger. Delete it if there is. You might try running sfc /scannow. As a last resort, I would try reinstalling Ai Charger and then use Iobit's uninstaller tool which does a more thorough job of removing programs. It will give you the option to remove the registry entries made by the original program.
