I've recently started video editing and when i begin processing a video fragment my CPU goes 100% and hits up to 93 oC when the program is done it (instantly) takes about 3 seconds to register drops back down to ~35-40 oC is this normal or should i worry? if i should worry what can i do to fix it? thanks for the help. Okay update took it to my shop guys who did some tests and show that the bios is not registering over 80 degrees Celsius so we think it may be the sensor, they said should try a different editing software and if it still has problems i should send the MoBo in to the manufacturer to get it fixed/ analysed. testing now, thanks for all the help.

Rapid temperature drops are normal, but your CPU temperatures are getting too high for 100% load. Either your CPU cooler isn't mounted properly, or your case has some very poor airflow. If you're ambient temperature is very high, like 35 celsius or more and you're using the stock cooler, then that might also be the source of your problem.

Is this a prebuilt desktop or laptop? If so, you might want to send it back to them to get this fixed if you don't want to void the warranty fixing it yourself, though they might argue 93 Celsius isn't bad for a laptop due to the crappy airflow that form factor has. If not, you might want to remove the CPU cooler, clean off the CPU, apply new thermal paste and remount the cooler and see if that...
