For xmas my gf gave me a fx 8350 black edition processor and a evga gtx 970 ftw video card. I like gaming and my rig is about 3-4 years old now. My board is a msi 990xa-gd55 i have 2 4gb ram sticks and a thermaltake 600w psu. One of my friends who has done several overclocks on his own systems has tried for several days to overclock my rig with what i currently have and its just a nightmare. Just no stability past 4.2ghz and this board vcore only goes to 1.45v max. Im to the point i just want to get a new board that everyone else has success overclocking with and has the settings online to prove it. I cannot find anything online with my board and the fx 8350 with any type of success stories. Ive read about alot of boards and the crosshair v formula z seems to be my choice so far with post after post of great overclocks. But i wanted the communities opinion on a good board that overclocks well for gaming.
