Hey guys I have an enclosure with a 160gb hard drive. A month ago i was going to use it so i plugged it to the laptop but i forgot to connect the power supply to it (which was already on the plug) then i tried to turn it on but since it didn't work i realized power supply wasn't connected to it yet so i did it without turning it off, then it turned off instantly and power supply started smelling like burn. I know power supply is burn but, how can i recover the data on the hard drive? how do i know if it got damaged? Should i just buy a new power supply or there are more options? I don't know much about this, by the way sorry my english is not so perfect...
