This is an issue which has bothered me for a long time but seems to come and go whenever I attempt to change something, most recently the case. Sometimes when I turn the pc on, it posts, has a black screen, beeps three more times (one long and two short) and the screen develops some strange glitchy purple elements which continue right up until the desktop appears. Then it will work perfectly until it's turned off again (by any method, restarting including). On other occasions, the computer will post and not display anything and eventually turn off, on others it will display the bios splash-screen, then crash and every other time it will display the bios which I will be able to access but the whole screen will be black until I run the mouse over it in which case the pixels touched by the mouse will start working again, exiting this screen will display a white dash in the top left to show my SSD is not connected. For the most part, swapping the RAM sticks around solves the second problem and getting it to recognise my SSD seems to be pure luck as does when it turns on properly. I've tried reaplacing my motherboard, RAM, sata cables and drives. My system is as follows:

OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
System Type: x64-based PC
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical
Motherboard: H81M-PLUS
GPU: AMD R9200 Series
BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 2110, 15/04/2015
SMBIOS Version: 2.7
Boot Device: \Device\HarddiskVolume2
Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.1.7601.17514"
Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 12.0 GB
Total Physical Memory: 11.9 GB
Available Physical Memory: 9.39 GB
Total Virtual Memory: 23.9 GB
Available Virtual Memory: 20.9 GB
Page File Space: 11.9 GB
Page File: C:\pagefile.sys

I've tried looking through loads of other threads and haven't found anything that works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GPU is AMD R9270x, PSU is Alpine 600W Quiet Silent ATX, not overclocking and DDR3.

I'm not sure, the bios is basically unusable due to the weird glitch I mentioned (the screen being black until the mouse rolls over each pixel, it's also got the wrong resolution so half of it is cut off.. note: this only seems to happen with the graphics card in, when it's out and using the mobo vga it seems to be ok). I've tried the Asus EZ updater but it says 'there is no need to update the environ'. I've also just realised I never thanked you for you responses.. so thank you, your help is appreciated :)

Yes, I've tried each stick separately in each slot and it appears to make no difference unfortunately.
