hi all,
i am currently in the process of upgrading one of my pc's to a skylake system, however before i do that i need to first sell my old system. the system specs are and amd Athlon 760k cpu, amd msi 260x gpu, 500 watt evga psu, 16gb of ram, asrock motherboard, water cooled with a corsair h100i cooler (240mm), a 1tb hdd, all housed in a cooler master CM storm case. my question is what price can i expect to be payed for my old system? and how would i go about selling it? i have some pictures of the system that i can post is you need me to.

-thanks!

a friend of mine at school gave me a surprising offer of $700 - $800 on the computer plus 50 bucks for my shitty old monitor. since the computer is around $1100 i think this is a good deal, what do you think?

also it comes with windows ten

Although you may have paid $1100 for it originally, your computer is not worth $1100 new-value today: you could rebuild a system with similar or better specs today for $600-700 worth of brand-new parts. If you accept your friend's $700 offer, you will be selling him a used system at pretty much full current new retail price.

Unless you meant that $1100 is your new PC's budget. (But that does not change the fact that $700 for your old PC would be somewhat of a rip-off.)

Yes I understand how computer components become cheaper and more powerful over time. I meant the price overall (with all upgrade ect) of my old computer is about $1100, and he is offering my about $700 - $800 dollars for my year old pc. I think that is a good offer considering I would likely get a much worse price selling online or something.
