Which frequency ram should i buy?

Hello everyone! I hv sony vaio vpceh38fn. I want to upgrade my ram from 4gb to 8gb. It comes with 4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram installed. So, which ram should i choose Either "ddr3 1333mhz" or "ddr3 1600 mhz"? Also what will happen if i choose 1600 mhz?

You can go for any of the speeds 1333 MHz or 1600 MHz. When mixing two speeds, the whole memory system will default to the lower speed, in your case 1333 MHz. Since you already have a single 4 GB 1333 MHz RAM, better to go with 1333 MHz it self. But if they were two 2 GB RAM of 1333 MHz, you could remove them and go for the two 4 GB 1600 MHz RAM. It's highly unrecommended to adda 4 GB + 4 Gb unless they come in the same package. Even if both those models are identical it may surface unexpected issues. So always use two sticks of RAM that are packaged together.
