GTX 660 SLI settings not showing up on MSI Z87-GD65

Recently came to the realization that what I thought was an SLI set up was not actually set up in SLI.

using:
EVGA GTX 660 SC on an MSI Z87-GD65.

no matter how many videos I watch they all say that the SLI settings should just be there but I havnt found squat.

thoughts??

Do you have the SLI bridge installed on the cards? are the cards properly installed and powered ?

Do you have SLI on in nvidia control panel ?

no SLI is not showing up on the control panel
yes they are both properly installed
yes the bridge is insalled
i am running 3 monitors off the both of them

To enable SLI all monitors must be running off the primary card. Dont run any monitors off the secondary card, reboot pc and see if you can enable SLI.
