My PC is failing to boot. It gets to the windows logo then it crashes, giving a blue screen error saying nvlddmkm.sys caused the error.
I installed bluescreenview which told that directx kernel is also responsible for this, along with the nvidia graphics kernel.
Graphics Card is Zotac GTX 560.
If I uninstall the graphics driver, but leave the graphics card installed then the pc boots fine. It even boots using Onboard Graphics (Intel Chipset). But just as I install the graphics card driver and restart, problem comes again.
Pc was booting in safe mode for a while, but now it is not even booting into safe mode if I leave graphics card installed.
I have tried installing different versions of driver, re-installing windows with nothing other than the drivers, re-seating graphics card. i have tried the other PCIe port. Same thing happens.
Only thing I have not tried is checking the graphics card on a different system. I don't have other system to check on.
I just want to know if this is a graphics card issue or motherboard can cause this too. But it is booting using onboard graphics so maybe its the graphics card.
I am confused please help...
