is my motherboard bios chip fried?

please help me.. im running 3dmark, suddenly my pc shuts down.. when i try to turn it back on again it wont turn on.. Ive tested my psu using paper clip test and it failed the test.. so thats one down.. now im suspecting that maybe my motherboard is also affected by the psu failure..

i checked my motherboard and i noticed that the m_bios and b_bios chip have strange white discoloration on the chips

Those BIOS chips are not supposed to look like that. That motherboard is shot. I hope for your sake it didn't take anything else with it. The PSU you had was a piece of junk.

The good news (if you can call it that) is you can buy a new PSU and try it out. Its not going to work but on the off chance in hell it does you'll know. That New PSU can then be used on your next build. The XFX TS 550w or 650w, or Seasonic S12II 520 or 620 would all do fine for you.

That said considering that damage I think there is a chance the processor, ram, or even the GPU could be damaged as well.

does your motherboard bios chip doesn't have this kind of discoloration.. i am using my pc for a year now..

my psu failed and im replacing what brand of psu would be good with my setup?

thank you. i do hope that too.. the mobo have a feature "Power Failure Protection with Anti-Surge IC" i hope other hardware are fine..
