Can any1 help installed new motherboard and cpu after installation am getting no signal and getting long beeps that continues

Solution

I done a quick Google search for that RAM....

According to this Ebay listing for that type of RAM. It is an HP EEC registered RAM module for use with an HP server.

If this is the case...your Gigabyte GA78LMT USB3 motherboard will not support EEC registered RAM that is specifically designed for use with servers.

You will have to buy unregistered RAM that your motherboard will support. You could use the 4gb module that is working until you can get more.

You have a PSU thats compatible to test with? Seems like that could likely be the issue. Motherboard needs to be properly powered.

Certainly. But that PSU is a bit weak anyway. Especially if you are going to be powering any peripherals such as GPUs and extra drives.

Stick might just be bad. But if you really want to check, go on to your motherboards manufacturers site and check the list of approved memory. Not always 100% accurate as many memory modules will work, but if it isn't on the approved list you might have your answer.

Daniel, you mentioned that you've changed the mobo and CPU, but you didn't mention the RAM being changed. If you are still using previous system RAM, are you sure that it's compatible with your new motherboard? When you tested a 4GB stick...and it worked....then this suggests that it was compatible. The 8GB stick may not be.

What are the RAM specs?

It is not as simple as that unfortunately. As Valnac has said, you will have to check on your motherboard's website to see if the new RAM is approved for use with your motherboard. There may be specific voltages or timings that yours requires.

What is the brand & model number of your RAM? You need to be specific about this.
