Do I need to reapply thermal paste?

Hello, I recently completed a new PC build that included an i7 6700k and a corsair H110i GTX cooler. During installation I had to reseat the cooler, but wasn't paying attention and now I realize I had lifted it up off the CPU and replaced it without checking the pre applied paste.

This all happened before the first initial boot, and there wasn't a long time between the first and second seating.

Checking my PC temps once it had booted for the first time I was the CPU while sitting at the desktop was averaging 17C degrees on all votes.

I have not yet monitored the temps under heavy load. I will tonight.

Do I need to break it back down and reapply the thermal paste since I reseated it earlier by accident?

It's fairly certain that you're temp reading is wrong as 17C would be magical using far more sophisticated solutions than a corsair hydro model.

Aside all that, my recommendation would be to reapply the paste in the scenario that it had been in use for a while and may have dried, potentially coming off with your lift and not spreading properly once re-seated, forming mini air bubbles within the paste which will now form pockets of hot air.

In this case, unless you fear it may have spread the paste unevenly or you get high readings once you get a proper, accurate report it might be worth reapplying the paste.

The stuff that is on the corsair coolers from stock is pretty awful anyway, so some nice, high quality TIM can go a long way sometimes in lowering the temps by 2-10 degrees in extreme cases. Usually only on high TDP chips though.

I mean no because those temps are godlike but i feel like those aren't your real temperatures :D
Have you checked your temperature in bios?
